Event Description

There is still time to comment on the tree planting plans, but we have agreed the date for planting them. Everyone is welcome to attend, and join in the planting. Wear weatherproof clothing  and sturdy footwear (you knew that, didn't you?) All tools will  be provided, but you might want to bring your own work gloves.

More details will be posted here as they are sent to us, but this date has the requisite numbers of BCC officers, community payback and corporate volunteer support.

  • You might also be interested to hear this one minute clip by our Mayor George Ferguson as part of his 1st Feb Ask George Interview about his vision for Bristol’s trees:  (Be patient, it seems to take about 15 seconds before it starts at 18.56min into the interview).

Hi Claire, Welcome to the website.  Everyone is welcome to attend - this is a public event in a public park. You will be very welcome to film the event.  The Friends are very friendly - feel free to approach anyone and ask them if they will talk to you about it. The TreeBristol organiser from Bristol City Council is called Caroline Hollies and she will be there, so you may be able to get quote from her for your assignment.  Let's hope the weather stays fine.
