Come and try a new and healthy activity in some of Bristol favorite parks! Free tasters of the ancient art of Qi Gong – a form of gentle exercise and moving meditation closely related to Tai Chi.
Qigong is a system of gentle physical exercise and mindfulness practice that originated in China thousands of years ago, but is now practiced throughout the world. It requires no particular religious or philosophical beliefs – just a lively interest in exploring and appreciating our own experience and our relationship to the environment. Its integration of physical exercise with mental focus has benefits for bodily, mental and spiritual health well-being.
Anyone coming to these free sessions can learn some introductory movements and meditations. Also find out about regular classes running in the neighbourhood in the autumn and winter months. The sessions will run whatever the weather. No charge (donations welcome)
