Welcome to the Social and Arts group
The Social & Arts Group was established in 2007. The primary role of the group is to act as a catalyst for formal and informal events in the park. The group also supports and promotes other activities that other people may organise that fall within the terms of reference of FoSAP.
ParkArts11, organised and promoted by some members of the group, was held on July 10th 2011. It was a one-day arts festival held in the park involving visual artists and music performers. There was a range of stalls offering arts and crafts and activities for children and others selling refreshments. You can see photos on this website in the ParkArts11Group page.
The Ceilidh, held in November 2011 raised £648.00 for the East Africa Crisis Appeal.

FoSAP - thanks for the explanation. I'm keenly interested in alternative energy (I had 25 people around my house a couple of weeks ago as part of Bristol Green Doors, looking at my solar hot water system). I just wanted the sort of info you just gave.

I put the Solar Powered Film Event on the website. The following information was on their website, a link to which they provided.
This unique solar powered cinema is brought to you by Know Alternative, a mobile solar unit with all equipment including their electric milk float projector powered by the sun.
The way is which solar power is stored in milk float batteries is a little outside the remit of this website.

Hi social & arts! I run the gurt lush choir which rehearses next to the park.
We'd be up for performing in the park at some suitable occasion....
Any ideas...?
