BCC Tree Officer noted 5 trees that were moribund or dead earlier this summer.
These have all been felled. Four trees were on the Maurice Road boundary. The two near St Bart’s church were Prunus padus, Bird cherries; those lower down were unspecified cherries (This photo is one of them). The leaning tree in the childen’s play area has also been felled; that was listed as a rowan, Sorbus aucuparia.
In due course we may be able to plant some new trees to replace these, not necessarily, but not necessarily not, in similar locations.
