A male Thick-legged Flower beetle - Oedemera nobilis - by the pond, June 27th '19

This is a beetle that has become quite common in southern England in the last 20 or so years. It is very common in Mediterranean countries and is probably now benefiting here in the UK from global warming.
It feeds on pollen from a wide range of flowers.
