This from the Post in January 2018: They only started to breed in the UK in 1969 but, since then, the population has flourished – with 8,600 recorded pairs in the summer of 2017.
Even though Greater London and surrounding areas are still its stronghold, the species has been recorded in almost every county in England and has reached Wales and the Scottish borders – and now Bristol.
