Helophilus hybridus, a wasp mimic hoverfly visitor to the Water mint by the pond, Sept 5th '12

I was going to label this - Helophilus pendulus, which is the commonest Helophilus species. But on checking the amount of black colouring on the hind tibia ( about two thirds black), this is the closely related Helophilus hybridus. This is a new species for the park.
