Bumblebee queen (probably Buff-tailed bumblebee) foraging for crocus pollen in the park, March 7th '22
This queen, newly emerged from hibernation, is head first into this crocus to feed on nectar and high protein pollen she needs to build up her strength and start developing the eggs in her ovaries.

Good to see that the park is providing some early food for our pollinators.
