Toad spawn in long chains... best left in the pond for all of us to follow the development; Depending on the water temperature, eggs hatch in three days to two weeks and tiny black tadpoles emerge. Eggs hatch faster in warmer water.  Toad tadpoles become toadlets after about four months. They mature and breed at three to 7 years.
