Greetings Rose - thanks for your offer of help/support for the Park-Art event which I will hopefully be coordinating next summer in early July.
Although we had a good working party lined up to do it this year there were not enough visual artists with time to be involved so I decided, after consultation, to concentrate on 2009 with planning starting in January next. Could you email your contact details to me at paulbullivant@f2s.com [tel:0117 9245200 - 10 Maurice Road] so I can put you interest into my system. If you want to hear some informal early music in the park, I am playing in the local wind trio 'Gone with the Wind' on Sat 21st June at 7.30 pm undr the big Birch tree by the paddling pool. Bring a rug and beverages.
Rose hello- there was a possibility of organising a different sort of music in the park, which was to be Art in the Park (with some acoustic music) in July this year. But sadly it all became too difficult/time consuming to organise for this year.
the person to speak to about it is Paul Bullivant - perhaps with an offer of support for next year? these things only happen thanks to the work of people like Paul...Best wishes Sarah McMurchie
Alas, there is no music in the park this year :-(
Please feel free to start a discussion on this site and gauge support for a future event or otherwise.
