Spindle fruits at the top of the park, Nov 14th '12

"The spindle was used to make spindles for spinning wool and bobbins for lace-making which were of importance to everyday lives in ancient times. The hard wood can be whittled into a very sharp point and was also useful for sharp pegs and skewers."

Haha, that's ok, yours are lovely. The second one has some nice movement to it. 

I'm still not getting on brilliantly well with my camera, so most of mine are a bit fuzzy and bendy at the edges. Never mind - I'm sure I'll work it out eventually!  You clearly manage to get some rather good results from yours.

Will put some up if I manage to get any nice pics of the rest of the park though - it might be good practice.
