A probable Slime-mould on dead wood in the park today

"Sounds a very reasonable ID, Des. When I saw the first photo I thought maybe just snail/slug eggs. But the second photo shows clearly stalked structures looking like the sporocarp fruiting bodies of some slime-moulds. The photo of slime-moulds on…"

St Andrews Park Pond

"Amazing video, Andrew. It is definitely a leech. I think Jo's ID as belonging to the Genus Erpobdella is probably correct, but think it just might be, from its plain reddish brown colouring, Erpobdella testacea rather than octoculata. But…"

Hi Simon, The only change implemented by me was adding the FoSAP image to the home page. I have not made any changes although the service provider 'ning' might well have done. If you have any worked examples then give me a shout and I will try and contact ning for help.

Thanks for this.I will come along for one of the  bird walks. Waxwings - I haven't managed to see any yet this year. We had some in our back graden (Tyne Rd) a few years back. Stunning creatures!
