Traffic noise pollution

Traffic noise pollution



Bristol City Council have launched an interactive map where people can add their favourite quiet place. This could be a park, woodland, cemetery or other open space. The noise consultation will feed into the noise action plan for the city and help us in developing a noise strategy for Bristol.

Bird Walk 21st February

The first bird walk of 2010 was excellent with both signs of spring and reminders of winter to entertain us. Birds seen were as follows:



Goldfinch - at least half a dozen showing well as they fed in a birch tree

Chaffinch - including males singing and another having a bath!

Greenfinch

Redwing at least 6, maybe more, feeding on the grass

Blackbird

Mistle Thrush - not seen, but song heard rather distantly

Blue Tit

Great Tit

Long-tailed Tit

Graffiti Inspection

A full Inspection of the Park was done today. Obscene Graffiti & Lower grade Graffiti were noted & reported to

Miles Harris Tel No 9223719. He is Chris Hammond's subordinate & is very helpful as is Ann on the

switchboard. Please ring that number as soon as you spot any Graffiti or just contact me & I will deal with it.

Graffiti has been reported

Graffiti on the Benches has now been reported using 9223719, The Parks Dept main switchboard.

Obscene Graffiti to be removed in 24 hrs & the rest on the 4 benches where adolescents congregate in the Afternoon

to be given a lower priority.
