We have received feedback from Rob McGovern on the meeting in the park on 6.10.09 The first document is the reponses of those at the meeting.
6.10.09 meeting Rob McG.doc If you were unable to attend the meeting, the second document is the consultation form which you can complete now.

A good turnout despite the weather for the second attempt at this consultation. There were twelve of us, plus our CPO MIles and two community police officers. Watch this space for the report. In the meantime, here
SAP consultation report July 09.docis the report from the previous consultation (the one where only a few attended).

Yes, I did, making the total number of those attending precisely 3!! Rather embarrassing. No, nothing was proposed and nothing decided. It was really an exercise in sounding out what ideas the 'local community' had as possibilities for medium to long term future changes/developments for the Park. Given the extremely low attendance, (apparently similar meetings held in other areas of the city were very well attended) I am not sure how valid the Council will view the input from this meeting. However, I do feel, that from the questionnaires we completed and the general discussion, there were still some interesting suggestions put forward. Given the money that the Council must have put in to this city wide 'listening to the people' series of meetings, I think we should request, if not insist, on being provided with a summary of the proceedings.
