Thank you so much to everyone who supported us at the meeting on monday by voting down Bristol City Councils proposal for a semi permanent kiosk. Also many thanks to all our customers who have spoken to us in the park and asked ways in which they can help us to continue running the cafe.
We have to re tender for our license to be renewed from April 2011. We would like the council to base their decision on standard and quality and more than just the revenue they will be getting. Please come and sign our petition at the park.

The Café is saved. Hooray!

Karen and Fay thank everyone who gave their support both at the Open Consultation Meeting on 4th October, commenting on the website, and by writing letters of support.

The Council listened to our concerns, and they have agreed to drop the idea of the semi-permanent kiosk and allow the café to continue to trade as it has always done.

We would also like to thank Alberto and Sue from the Parks department who came to the meeting and, having correctly gauged the strength of support for the café, produced their report quickly so that the good news is now proclaimed.
