Event Description

As part of the “My Community Festival” taking place in the Bishopston, Cotham, Redland Neighbourhood Partnership from May 4th to May 11th, Kerry Macleod will be organising a quiz and trail in the park.  Here is what she has planned:

 Sunday 5th May 2013 – 10.30am to 12.30pm

Free Kids Quiz and Trail around St Andrews Park.

Start at the ‘Tea Garden Cafe’ in the centre of the park, near the finger post. Children can pick up a question form, then enjoy trailing around the park to discover the answers placed around various points of the green space.  All completed forms that are returned to the starting point will be put into to draw to win some local toyshop vouchers. Adults are asked to accompany the children to the event.

The event could possibly run for a longer time if other people are around to assist but this is in no way essential.

Also as part of the festival, Simon Randolph and Des Bowring have very kindly agreed to run the following events:

Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th  at 10.30 am - Guided Walk – the birds of St Andrews Park with Des

Sunday May 5th at 3pm - Guided Walk – the trees and wildlife habitats of St Andrews Park with Simon.

Both walks will start from the main entrance on Effingham Road opposite Grenville Road.

If the weather is suitable, there may be evening Bat walks with bat detectors. These will be advertised on this website.

As well as events on our park, there are lots of other events taking place locally this week. A list of them has been added in the last line of the main blog page.
