A solitary bee species, Gooden's Nomad Bee on Caltha flower in pond, April 7th, '19

Nomada goodeniana is a common, medium sized solitary bee that has a flight period from April to June.It is a cleptoparasite, meaning it exploits the food of other species of solitary bee, laying eggs in the host's nest burrow. The grub that hatches kills the host's egg or grub and then feeds on the food stored in the nest.
