Residents and park users love the views into the park and are wondering if they can politely encourage high sided vehicles to park elsewhere.

It is legal for them to park there, whether we like it or not. I have on occasion tried to suggest to drivers of such vehicles that they could be parked elsewhere, with no luck. I have heard the same from other people living near the park.
We need an RPZ. That way the law will support us. Vigilante action - no matter how gentle or low-level - is not the answer. Who are we to tell people behaving perfectly legally to go elsewhere?
